Moles

Check with your doctor first
We ask that prior to treatment you get these checked by your GP to exclude problems.

The treatment we offer for mole removal is called cryotherapy (freezing).

This procedure involves applying liquid nitrogen using a small pen to the age spots to destroy the extra pigment. The lesion peels off over the next couple of weeks.

At that point the skin will be pink so it is essential to use sunblock. This is a treatment best saved for times when your skin won’t be exposed to sunshine.

Freezing is typically used on a single age spot or a small grouping of age spots.

The treatment may temporarily irritate the skin and poses a slight risk of permanent scarring or discoloration.

Cryotherapy uses a jet of cold gas to remove skin tags, warts, and similar. It’s an effective and safe procedure.
